This FIDIC Claims and Disputes Course will bring you the necessary detailed knowledge and insights as to the claim management and dispute resolution provisions under the FIDIC Conditions of Contract, namely FIDIC Red & Yellow Book Contracts.
About Trainers
Taner Dedezade
Mr. Dedezade is the founder of International Construction Chambers, an International Construction Lawyer, Dispute Resolver, Speaker, ICC Arbitrator, FIDIC Certified Adjudicator and Member of FIDIC Presidents List and FIDIC Certified Trainer with the award of “FIDIC trainer of the Year 2020”.
Mr. Dedezade specializes in the resolution and avoidance of disputes arising out of international construction and engineering projects, particularly under the FIDIC contracts.
As a dispute resolver, Mr. Dedezade has acted as an ICC arbitrator in one international construction dispute and has been appointed by CIARB as Sole Arbitrator in relation to five commercial disputes. Listed as a panel arbitrator for GIAC, Georgia and on the SCCA roster list, Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Dedezade has delivered numerous FIDIC lectures and FIDIC trainings all around the world.
Nina Tsaturova
Ms. Tsaturova is the Head of Legal and Director at Intelligent Solutions LLC in Tbilisi, Georgia. She is a distinguished member of the FIDIC President's List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators, specializing in construction law, dispute avoidance and resolution.
With over a decade of experience, she adeptly manages construction disputes, particularly FIDIC contracts, offering guidance on contract drafting, negotiation, and various dispute resolution methods. Ms. Tsaturova has successfully handled diverse local and international projects, spanning infrastructure, residential, and commercial developments.
Additionally, she actively contributes to the construction community as a Founding Member of the Georgian Association of Consulting Engineers and serves as the DRBF Country Representative in Georgia.
As a FIDIC Certified Trainer and Head of Contract Principles at the FIDIC Academy, Ms. Tsaturova's commitment to excellence earned her the prestigious Merit Award for “FIDIC Contracts Trainer of the Year in 2023”, highlighting her leadership and dedication to advancing industry standards and professional development.
Sophie Tkemaladze
Ms. Tkemaladze has served as an arbitrator as well as a party representative in arbitrations conducted under the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Georgian International Arbitration Center (GIAC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) rules.
As a Local Facilitator for the ADB's Office of Special Project Facilitator mediated disputes between communities affected as a result of ADB funded projects and the implementing agencies; Mediated landlord-tenant and commercial disputes at Quincy and Chelsea small claims courts (MA, US); mediating commercial and workplace disputes at Tbilisi City Court (Georgia).
Ms. Tkemeladze has 15+ years' experience including teaching courses on International Sales Law, International Commercial Arbitration, Negotiation, Mediation; coaching for Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration, ICC International Mediation, IBA/VIAC Consensual Dispute Resolution, Sports Arbitration Moot competitions, team-building & mentoring.
Leo Grutters
Mr. Grutters is a Civil Engineer and a Dispute Resolution Expert with over 35 years of professional experience. He holds an MBA and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Mr. Grutters is a forensic analyst focused on the logical and fair resolution to contractual disputes. As a Member of FIDIC’s President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators, he has been involved as an independent neutral expert in many large prestigious international engineering projects involving such wide-ranging sectors as: Road Construction, Power Generation & Distribution, Offshore, Marine, Renewable Energies.
Due to his extensive participation in international contractual dispute resolution procedures, such as adjudication, dispute boards and arbitration, he is a project-focused expert who understands the interaction between complex engineering methodologies and the unavoidable legal and commercial implications when seen in a contractual environment. He strongly believes in a common-sense approach and will always strive to achieve the optimum result acceptable by all involved.
Mr. Grutters is also regularly lectures on dispute resolution methodologies, proactive contract administration systems and procedures and is a regular speaker at related international events. Furthermore, he routinely conducts training and coaching events on the entire FIDIC Rainbow Suite of Contracts, as well as other construction-management-related topics.
